8th EEPDE congress on point-of-care diagnostics.

Read the storyClose story3 photos

Participation in the 8th congress focused on sample handling and the importance of appropriate preparation before using point-of-care systems.

The company’s account

Our participation in the 8th EEPDE Congress (Hellenic Society for Paraclinical Diagnostic Testing) provided an excellent opportunity for meaningful dialogue with the medical community, particularly cardiologists.

Presentations and discussions highlighted the importance of correct pre-analytical procedures when handling samples for point-of-care systems. Sample quality and correct preparation are key factors in reliable results.

In an emergency department, time is critical. Prompt, accurate diagnosis of an infection can influence a patient’s course. Correct use of point-of-care technologies can support:

• Timely infection detection.

• Better-informed clinical decisions.

• Rational selection of antibiotic treatment.

Improving knowledge of pre-analytical stages is an investment in quality of care and patient safety, rather than simply a technical detail.

We continue supporting education and innovation, with the aim of providing reliable diagnostic solutions where they matter: alongside the patient.
